One of the most crucial parts of a successful videogame is the sound behind it. Take Visceral Game’s Dead Space for example. The reason that game is so terrifying is due to the excellent sound engineering. Distant screams, growls behind you, and the sound of blood dripping from the walls made the game such a phenomenal experience. Hunted: The Demon’s Forge is along the same path.

This dungeon crawler style of game has an incredible sound team behind it. They’re passionate about their work and it really shows in this behind the scenes video. This video goes into some great detail on how they make some of the games stellar sounds. For example, using ice cream condiments to create the sounds of blood and guts spewing from a dead orcs body.

Cool tidbits like that really show how experienced the sound team is and how great the sound is going to be. Here’s the video below. Let us know what you think in the comments and whether or not you’re going to be picking up Hunted: The Demon’s Forge.
