HTC HD7S on AT&T on June 5th; To Sell for $199 on Contract

May 20, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Here’s something that has all in it to  bring smiles to fans of AT&T. Phone maker HTC’s HD7S smartphone will be landing on AT&T on the 5th of next month. The HTC HD7S will be made available on AT&T  and you will be able to grab your model by parting with $199.99, on signing a new 24 month contract.

The revelation comes on AT&T’s Facebook page via a wall post. If you would remember, we had  already told you that the HTC Trophy would be coming to Verizon by the end of this month. If that is case,  then HD7S happens to be another one from the Windows Phone 7 smartphone family to come on a US carrier. With Verizon on the verge of launching its Windows phone, AT&T is in no means going to stay idle.

Well, here is a reminder on the prominent specs of HTC HD7S. The smartphone will come with a 4.2 inch WVGA touchscreen Super LCD display, a processor that runs at 1GHz  as well as a 5 megapixel camera that is capable of recording HD video in 720p. On the storage front, the device offers 16 GB, while Dolby Mobile surround sound support is also featured.

The HTC HD7S handset is already available for those who are on T-Mobile. However, the latest revelation indeed is delightful news for the AT&T users. Meanwhile, its arrival by the start of June implies that it is less likely to incorporate the “NoDo” update.

Are you an AT&T customer who has been waiting for the HTC HD7S? Tell us if you are going for it as soon as it arrives.
