May 13, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Remember, the Motorola Droid X2 was to be in your hands already. The scheduled date has come, but without the device! As we wonder why, we hear that the device would come only on May 26th.  Promo material that talks of the possible release of the Droid X2 has surfaced, giving us confirmation of the new roll-out date. A look at the documents gives us enough reason to believe that the release date will not go beyond May 26th.

Guys at Droid Life have procured a couple of internal documents that hint at some details. What the promo material brings to the fore are launch details as well as a handful of awesome specs.

So on the day of proposed launch, what would you expect to play with? We get to know that Android Gingerbread need to be expected, though speculations say that Moto might include only Froyo at launch. Apart from that, the other prominent specs list would read thus:

  • Dual-core Tegra 2 1GHz processor
  • 4.3-inch qHD screen
  • 8MP rear camera
  • 1080p HDMI-out video
  • 8GB of internal storage
  • 8GB pre-installed SD card
  • 1540mAh battery.

Tell us if these specs have something to charm you so that you would  keep your money ready to pick you device on the May 26th.
