The latest Mortal Kombat is the best in franchise history. Where would the game be without it’s roots though and Warner Bros. has done just that. For the first time ever, we’re going to get the original Mortal Kombat trilogy together in one package.

Coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade, Playstation Network and the PC, gamers are going to get the original Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2, and Mortal Kombat 3 in the late summer.

“We are very excited to finally have the first three Mortal Kombat games available in one download package for long-time and new fans to play,” said Ed Boon, Creative Director, NetherRealm Studios. “With the release of our 2011 Mortal Kombat, and its return to 2D game play, players have been asking for these classic titles and we are happy to deliver them.”

All three games will have online multiplayer ,leaderboards, achievements/trophies as well so it’s the complete package.

The trio will cost $9.99 on the Playstation Network and PC which is the equivalent to 800 Microsoft Points.
