Next Xbox Console On EA’s Desk?

May 6, 2011, By Christian Davis

Now this is something that could cause the Wii successor to shake in its boots. We’ve got word that the next Xbox console is on the desks at an undisclosed Electronic Arts office.

The new piece of hardware is a very early build and doesn’t even have it’s own casing yet. Signs are pointing to  to a technology check to see what kind of power the system could have for example.

“Quite often when new consoles come around they’re packaged into a PC shell, but actually what’s inside is an entirely new console,” a senior, trusted, well-placed source said.

Both Microsoft and EA both have declined to comment on this and the “trusted source” doesn’t work for either company. As strange as this is, we already know that Microsoft is already working on a console due to some past job positions that were revealed in March.

Though Microsoft has no plans on having a console ready until 2014, we could possibly hear some sort of announcement this year’s E3 which is just around the corner. Let us know what you think in the comments.
