Cops Catch Murderer With Bugged Xbox 360 Game

“I got arrested because the cops bugged my Xbox 360 copy of Guitar Hero.” Yea, that still sounds embarrassing. Even though this seems like something from a movie, that really did happen.

A teenager has been arrested in Saskatoon, Canada after he was caught giving a murder confession. The boy is accused of murdering 16 year old Charlotte Jolly back in 2009 with a stolen rifle after a disagreement broke out in an alley.

How did the cops get the game bugged? They utilized the boy’s uncle in exchange for dropping an outstanding drinking and driving charge.

The uncle invited the boy over and they played Guitar Hero. After the festivities had ended, the boy confessed to the shooting. He’s now been arrested and charged with second degree murder.

The boy is under 18 so his name can not be released yet, but it’s unfortunate that an altercation resulted in the death of another person. If this proved to be successful, I wonder how many times this will be used in the future? Could this be a new trend in investigative work? Let us know what you guys think in the comments.
