FCC Seeks Customer Opinion on AT&T-T-Mobile Merger

May 3, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

It is high time you open up and have your say.  So thinks FCC. After all you are the customers at the receiving end of any changes happening in the telecommunication industry, right? Getting no grip on what we say? Well, here goes the recap. We had earlier reported how the Federal Communications Commission would intervene in the takeover of T-Mobile by AT&T. Fearing the chances of a budding monopolistic trend in the telecommunication sector of the country, FCC was mulling over the issue for a time now.

Now, FCC has approached you to know your opinion. Or in other words, you may file your opinion or any other related information you find relevant about the merger, with the FCC now. It can be your emotional responses, or any complaints or anything that can be related to the proposed takeover. However, your filing will be available as your comments in the public sphere. Things won’t be a secret, if you think so.

FCC has now added the case of AT&T and T-Mobile merger to their Electronic Comment Filing System, ECFS Express under the proceeding number 11-65. We know you have pretty something to say about this merger to FCC.

So hit the link here to get to the ECFS Express and fill in the forms with the information they ask for, and file your piece of opinion or complaint to the FCC. After all, we too are a part of the game, not just the giant carrier companies, right?
