You Can Skip Action Scenes in L.A. Noire

During most videogames, players will have the ability to skip the cutscenes. This is especially useful once you beat a game already and just want to go through gathering collectibles or beating a previous record. Rockstar’s L.A. Noire could possibly be setting a new trend in the industry, but allowing players to skip action scenes.

Rockstar is giving players the option to skip these action sequences if they happen to be struggling to get past them. After two or three attempts, detectives will be able to move past that section. They showed this feature during the Trifecta Film Festival where the game was also recognized as a step forward in film in games.

“You can skip those action elements and still experience the bulk of the narrative,” explained Rockstar’s art director Rob Nelson.

Pretty cool feature to include in the game if you’re focused solely on the detective work. L.A. Noire is looking to be one of the best games that Rockstar has ever had and there’s so much going into this game, I see nothing but success for the title.
