HTC Doubleshot Android 2.3 Gingerbread Smartphone Leaks; Impressive Specs

April 26, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

We had seen so much on the HTC Sensation already. As if that was not enough for the time being, we now have stumbled upon yet another Android-powered smartphone from the HTC stables. The leak suggests that the forthcoming device could be the device dubbed Doubleshot.

We tend to think that the device could most probably be the successor of the Desire Z or T-Mobile G2. The device, as per the leak, possesses rather impressive specs.

  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread
  • HTC Sense 3.0
  • 800 x 480 WVGA
  • Slide-out full QWERTY keyboard
  • 6 MO camera + HDR support
  • 1.2GHz processor (dual core, likely)
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
  • Bluetooth 3.0.

Impressive indeed! But then we haven’t got confirmation on that though the leak suggests that these could be the specs that HTC is throwing into the Doubleshot. If the speculated specs are true, then the new handset will definitely surpass the demand and popularity of the Desire Z model.

There are also folks who believe that the Doubleshot could well be HTC’s next 3D smartphone, which would follow up on the HTC EVO 3D. Such rumors stem from the fact that the moniker of the handset looks so.

And just think about the name too! Doubleshot could mean 3D pictures, right?  Whatever be the claims, still don’t have an official  statement to confirm it. Let’s wait to see what’s really in store.
