Nokia C7 Symbian^3 Smartphone to hit Canada’s Videotron in a Few Days

In a bid to cheer up folks who still have an affinity for Symbian platform devices in Canada, Videotron is gearing up to release a new Nokia device on their network very soon. The Nokia C7, one of the latest Symbian devices from Finnish phone maker, will be hitting the Canadian carrier by the end of April (read it as within days).

Running on Symbian^3 OS platform, Nokia C7 is a smartphone with 3.5 inch display of 640 x 360 resolution. This capacitive touch screen is made up of scratch resistant Gorilla Glass. Moreover, it is AMOLED and the multi touch feature offers it pinch-and-zoom capabilities.

The 8 mega pixel camera on its rear assisted with an LED flash is a classy one to snap still pictures as well as record 720pHD videos.  For your video calling needs, it sports a 0.3 mega pixel cam also.

Venturing into the innards of this device, we get to see that the Nokia C7 is powered by a 680 MHz ARM 11 processor coupled with 256MB of RAM. Though it comes packed with 8GB of internal memory, the microSD card slot on its side allows extending it with support to SD cards up to 32 GB.

Equipped with Wi-Fi capabilities, the Nokia C7 comes bundled with a 1200 mAh battery too. Though the pricing details of this device are still to be announced by Videotron, it is expected to be around $350 for no contract as it is offered on Wind.
