HTC Sensation 4G Launch Date Leaked Via Google AdWords

April 21, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Attention HTC Gingerbread anticipators! A Google AdWords advert has leaked some exciting info on the upcoming HTC Sensation 4G. The leak hints at the device getting launched this June.

If you would remember, we had reports that had said the device was gearing up to hit the US market this summer. Neither the manufacturer nor T-Mobile had not then confirmed a date, even after making an official announcement regarding the device.

The Adwords advertisement mentions the date as ‘6/8’ in the link. The Google link reads thus:

“HTC Sensation 4G – On 6/8 – Complete w/ HTC Watch & HTC Sense.”

The Sensation 4G’s press image, the date in HTC’s time and weather widget shows the date as June 8th (image posted alongside). Also, June 8th falls on a Wednesday, the usual day of the week when the company typically launches new devices.

Though we feel there are plenty of reasons to take this date into consideration, it may not be too right to rely fully on this date. It is also possible that the Google advert is actually about the European version of the Sensation.

When T-Mobile announced the Sensation 4G, they referred to it as the ‘Sensation 4G,’ and the same name was shown on the HTC page. Meanwhile, if you have noticed, HTC’s website still shows the unbranded model as just ‘Sensation’. So, as you see, there are plenty reasons that holds us from believing the newly popped up date.

With the Adwords leak likely to trigger a debate, you may want to go back and find out the specs that the device would come with. Let’s  jot them down in a nutshell for you:

  • Android Gingerbread
  • Dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon, 1.2 GHz
