Apple Drags Samsung to Court over Alleged Copying of iPhone 4 & iPad Design

Sparks are expected to fly when titans get into a duel. Something of that sort is happening out there in tech sphere. Apple has just dragged rival Samsung to court by way of a new lawsuit. The former claims that the design of their much acclaimed iPhone 4 has been copied by Samsung for their Galaxy S smartphone.

Apple noticed the designs of Epic 4G, Nexus S, and Galaxy Tab from the house of Samsung and found that they bear some resemblance to their own products. They now seem to have come to a conclusion that it is so, and have gone to court over it.

An official statement from Apple which is detailed in the lawsuit reads thus: “Rather than innovate and develop its own technology and a unique Samsung style for its smart phone products and computer tablets, Samsung chose to copy Apple’s technology, user interface and innovative style in these infringing products.”

The most notable feature in this case is that the manufacturer not only sees an infringement on the iPhone design, but also accuses Samsung of copying the design and technology of their tablet iPad.

We are now left wondering as to where this will all lead to. We are just waiting to hear from Samsung as to what they have to say. Stay tuned as we expect some kind of a clarification from Sammy’s part soon.
