T-Mobile G2X Now Available Online; In Stores on April 20th

April 15, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Do we have to tell you that T-Mobile was gearing up for the G2X roll out. Your wait for the device is coming to an end finally, with the handset now available online along with a price tag of $199.99. Starting today, you can pick the device on a two-year contract. The G2X will be made available in stores by April 20th. We had told you earlier about this possibility, if you remember.

The phone is, in fact, a variant of the Optimus 2X – the world’s first dual-core phone on T-Mobile. Like its twin, the G2X also ships with many remarkable features akin to what the Optimus 2X carries with it.

The G2X comes running Android 2.2 Froyo OS, and we hear the device could get a Gingerbread update without much delay. Featuring a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen, the smartphone hides under the hood a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 system-on-chip and also offers the best of multimedia features.

The device is equipped with an 8-megapixel camera. In case you want the prominent specs listed down, let’s do it for you so that you can check out if your future phone has all you want.
