This is something we have been waiting to know. Nokia has made official their new handsets – the Nokia X7 and E6 Symbian smartphones feature a new version of the Symbian OS. Christened ‘Anna’, the new OS comes with over 50 enhancements. It includes a new browser that is said to be 3 times faster and it also offers support to Flash 10. The specs of the OS and the devices had surfaced a few days ago.

The first device, Nokia X7 is basically an entertainment-focused smartphone. It comes equipped with a 4-inch ClearBlack display. The handset features an 8-megapixel camera for capturing pictures and HD-quality video. It comes preloaded with the Galaxy on Fire HD and Asphalt 5 HD games. Memory is expandable up to 32GB.

The device is said to have been made using a combination of seamless stainless steel and glass and this combination could augur well towards the solid build quality body of the smartphone.

The second one, E6 is being presented as a business smartphone. This super slim device comes equipped with a full QWERTY keypad as well as high resolution 2.46-inch 640×480 touch display. This is also a combination of glass and stainless steel.

The business functionalities of the phone include Microsoft messaging capabilities, including access to Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Communicator Mobile and Microsoft SharePoint.

It is almost confirmed that the Nokia X7 would come on Three UK. But the device is least expected to be launched in the US.  May be, the company might launch its first Windows Phone 7-powered smartphone in the United States instead of the Symbian devices. We may have to wait to know about that for a bit more.

In the meanwhile, if you haven’t noticed yet, Three UK had a while ago posted a video that detailed the X7 running the new Symbian OS. Here’s the video, in case you are interested.
