Yet another tablet has been spotted at the FCC gates. This time we have chanced upon a new entrant to the ViewPad family and this latest addition to the tablet market from Viewsonic is a seven-inch tablet. Christened ViewBook 730, the device has been designed as a portable entertainment unit.

The ViewBook 730 boasts of the ability to access internet and to quench the thirst of gamers by providing some class gaming experience. Avid bookworms can use it as a 7-inch e-book reader too.

Bundled with such a bunch of useful features, the ViewBook 730 comes reportedly running on Android platform. However, we are yet to confirm the version of the Android platform on which the new Viewsonic tab runs.

There are assumptions that it could be a Froyo tablet, but we assume that it will be featuring the Honeycomb version.

It comes with ZiiAcademy software. Moreover, the company is pushing its new tab as a specialized e-book reader with special emphasis being given to its ‘E-Book Display’.

But we suggest the bookworms to go for something like Barnes and Noble’s Nook which you will get for $250 with an imminent update than going for an e-book reader turned tablet for a price of $318.

The device also has a front-facing camera. It sports an HDMI output. Capable of sharing an experience, it can give you access to the apps available in the Android Market too.
