As we already told you, the HTC Pyramid has been keeping us excited with a range of leaked images. The second lot of leaked pictures, in fact, gave us the feel that the device might be on its way to our midst. The latest we hear on that terrain is that the much anticipated handset from HTC could get a launch date next month for Europe.
In all probability, the Pyramid will come riding French carrier SFR’s communication waves. The French carrier’s website has procured an image that suggests a launch during the fag end of the coming month. Hope you know that the device is gearing up for a global unveiling at the media event to be organized by HTC on the 14th of this month.
A batch of images surfaced and you might have read our report on that yesterday. The close resemblance to HTC EVO 3D told us that the Pyramid is a sibling to EVO 3D smart device, though minus the 3D aspect.
Running Android 2.3.2 OS, the phone is expected to be driven by a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor and will boast of 768MB of RAM.
Featuring a 4.3-inch qHD display, the phone will come equipped with an 8 megapixel camera on the rear as well as a front facing camera. The connectivity department will be taken care of by the WiFi 802.11 b/g/n support, and it will also sport HTC’s own Sense version 3.0 user interface.
We had also told you that the images pointed at a slight change in the sensor’s outlook as against the one unveiled at CTIA 2011. In the midst of all the speculations and leaked images, we are keenly waiting for the company to make its official announcement.
