Nokia E6-00 Prototype Leaks; Runs Modified Symbian^3 (Video)

March 30, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

We brought to you news of the Nokia T7-00 getting leaked via the OVI publishing tools a day ago. Yet another massive Nokia leak is now out, and this time around it is a Nokia E6-00 that has been spotted in the wild.

The device, an upcoming handset from the Nokia stables has been revealed with quite a handful of specs. A video (posted after the break) too is now out in the open.

As per available information, the prototype from Nokia which got leaked comes with a capacitive touch screen. It has a physical full QWERTY keyboard too.

On the rear, Nokia has placed an 8 mega pixel camera with 720pHD video recording ability. Below the camera, on the bottom of the device, the Nokia E6-00 branding can also be seen – confirming the identity of the device.

The device, interestingly, runs on a new version of Symbian^3. We guess the tweak has been made so as to suit the landscape display of the device. The Nokia E6-00 prototype also comes with a micro USB port and a 3.5 mm headphone socket.

What makes us a bit worried is the fact that despite having a high quality camera assisted by dual LED flash which can record 720p HD videos, the handset does not sport an HDMI port. This would have allowed users to watch the videos on a bigger screen.

Other interesting features include a white body and like the E7, the newly leaked E6-00 has dropped the traditional 2mm charging socket from Nokia.

Hit the play button in the video below and you will see what an E6-00 recorded. Tell us why you think the Nokia E6-00 has the potential to stand out in a crowd.
