T-Mobile Dell Streak 7 Once Unlocked Can Access AT&T 3G & 4G Networks!

Here is an interesting piece of news for those who own a Dell Streak 7 on T-Mobile. Some folks have unearthed a way to get this tablet work on AT&T’s 3G and HSPA+ network. The tweak doesn’t want you to void your warranty. It does not make any rooting to the Dell streak, but by just inserting an AT&T SIM  can unlock the tablet for you.

Both the T-Mobile and AT&T use different spectrum bands for their 3G and 4G networks. Interestingly, it has turned out that the Dell Streak 7 has the ability to support HSPA+ on both the frequencies. It can support it both on 1700 – 2100 MHz and 850-1900 MHZ bands.

The exponents of the new trick argue that this is the basic aspect about the whole venture that works behind the miracle –  so no hacking is involved, which in turn means you will not be breaking warranty too.

However, unlocking is not an easy way for the newbie. Though there are many a software available for unlocking the Dell Streak, they don’t seem so effective with Dell Streak 7. The service is available with Unlockstreak, a company which is proficient in the operation.

For a charge of $49, they will send you the unlock code and once you give them the IMEI number of your Dell Streak 7, things become so easy. Once you get the code, you insert another carrier’s SIM card and enter the code when prompted.

Once unlocked, it switches to and fro between 3G and 4G networks, depending on the available network coverage.

Doesn’t that seem worthy of a try? Tell us if you have already decided to try this out.
