Nexus S Pre-order Kicks Off at Best Buy Canada; Are You Getting Yours?

The next generation Nexus device, Nexus S is yet to drop by at Canadian stores. Though it will hit several Canadian carriers in the near future, online retailers have now started begun pre-order for customers who are impatiently waiting to get their hands on this ‘pure Google’ device.

The retailer now offering the Nexus S for pre-order is BestBuy Canada. They have announced that customers who want to get their Nexus s ahead of others can pre-order them right now at BestBuy stores.

Though the details of the price for this Android 2.3 smartphone is yet to be published by the BestBuy, they have directed customers to visit the nearest Best Buy Mobile store and make a deposit of $50 as a token for preorder. For those customers who have done so, BestBuy will notify once the device gets available.

Just to refresh you on this Gingerbread powered device, Nexus S is the follow-up device of Nexus One. In addition to a 4 inch WVGA screen and 5 megapixel camera, it holds a 1 GHZ Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor under the hood.

Nexus S has been garnering positive responses from users since it was launched in the US. Its additional features like the contour display, Near Field Communications and three Axis gyroscope add to the popularity of the device.
