The iPad 2 hype is still riding high and other tablets are not willing to give up so easily. Samsung has been at the forefront of the battle and they have been projecting the qualities of the Galaxy Tab so as to push up sales. The UK scene is now seeing a battle ready Samsung trying score some brownie points with their Galaxy Tab even as the customers are gearing up to pick the iPad 2 with an imminent release nearing.

Retailer Asda has put up the Samsung Galaxy Tab for sale and the deal comes for £299. That’s a good price we must say. The Galaxy Tab of course had been released long back, but the Asda deal has to be seen as a by Samsung ploy to fight it out on a level playing field.
