March 17, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Thunderbolt fans – if you haven’t noticed as yet – the device has gone on sale. Verizon has started selling the HTC Thunderbolt 4G. The LTE Android Froyo smartphone, complete with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor under the bonnet now comes for $249.99 with a new, two-year agreement or $599.99 full retail.

The 8-megapixel camera on the back, 1.3-megapixel camera on the front, 32GB of storage are features – apart from the blazing fast 4G LTE speeds – that have been luring customers to keep ready their money to pick their Thunderbolt as soon as it arrives on Verizon.

And, to add to the lure, the device will also carry along with it free mobile hotspot that aids sharing of LTE data. The free offer will extend only up till May 15th though.

Post May 15th, your Verizon bill will demand $20 a month for 2GB. You might have read our post on Amazon already cutting down the price to around $180, and promising to ship it to your hands in around 9 days’ time.

Apart from all that, you will also get to play with the amazing HTC Sense UI, and we bet you would love that. Though the blazing speeds have been promised, we just expect that to be true to our satisfaction. We are just waiting to get the device in our hands to test that. Tell us if you are happy with it.
