Okay this is for sure. Verizon will bring to our midst the much delayed HTC Thunderbolt soon. The price you will have to pay for it would be $250 (along with a two-year contract). Now think about this. What if you can save some good dollars when someone else is offering the device for less? We aren’t kidding, folks. Head for Amazon now and you will be able to pick the device for just $180.

That’s $70 less than what you would have paid. Amazon is offering the device for that amount and you can pre-order the Thunderbolt 4G now so that you can get it at your doorstep in the next 8-9 days. The Amazon offer comes along with the contract.

Verizon has, in the meantime, detailed the plans in such a way that they start at $40 a month, plus $30 a month for data. Also, the carrier will be offering customers unlimited 4G LTE data with its $30 data plan for a limited period.

Further, when you pick the device on Verizon at launch you will also get add on wireless hotspot functionality for as much as $20 a month. This feature, however, will be offered for free until May.

If you are planning to head for Amazon so that you can pick the device for less, these are what you will be getting along with the phone:

  • Android 2.2 OS
  • 1 GHz Snapdragon processor
  • 4G LTE
  • 4.3-inch Super LCD multi-touch display

  • HTC Sense UI
  • 8 GB internal memory
  • Pre-loaded 32 GB microSD card
  • Wireless-N Wi-Fi networking
