Apple iPad 2 Online Orders Start Shipping

Are you one of those Apple who placed your online order for the just-launched Apple iPad 2? Customers are starting to report shipping notifications of the second generation iPad on discussion forums.

With the earliest arrival for the first orders looking like happening on March 17th, the Apple iPad 2 seems to be right on schedule. Folks at MacRumors have drawn attention on their discussion forums where users have posted about first orders starting to ship.

Shipment notifications that talk of Wi-Fi and Verizon models shipping first make us think that the iPad 2 units are fast on their way to buyers’ hands. As you know, the device had rolled out last Friday amidst much fanfare.

Even as customers in the US were in two minds over whether to buy one or wait for Apple iPad 3 to come, we gave  you eight awesome reasons as to why the iPad 2 is a buyable tablet in the current scenario. Fans who took the advice seem to have gone for the device, and they will receive the package any time soon.

One of the customers posted in the forum thus: “Ordered my ipad2 3g 16gb for VZ at 4am EST, and just got my FedEx tracking number!!” Now that’s encouraging. However, those who failed to order their device early will have to wait 3-4 weeks before shipments begin.
