Nokia E7 up for pre-order in the US with a possible April Release

March 9, 2011, By Shawn Wagnon

The Nokia E7 is not a bad phone by any stretch of imagination. In fact, it would make for a great mobile had Nokia not decided to go along with Microsoft and WP7. That and the price tag that is coming along with the outright purchase of the E7, make it a bit hard to sell off of the store shelves. But if you are interested in the E7, then it is now available for pre-order in the Nokia USA Stores and you can expect it to be in your pocket by sometime this April.

The problem with the E7 could be its $679 price, which has shown no signs of coming down since the day we knew about it. Unless you are a real hardcore Nokia fan, you might not be willing to but the device outright for such a huge price. Maybe Amazon will bring it down in the coming months, but for those interested in the pre-orders, it might prove to be a strain on the purse strings.

Then there is the new Microsoft-Nokia alliance that has people very circumspect about buying a new Smartphone running on Symbian. We know that the support from Nokia will gradually fade out for the OS and if it does happen pretty soon, then the E7 seems like a bit of an extravagant purchase. So, interested in the E7? Maybe you feel differently…
