LG to Unveil Two More New Phones, CTIA Finalists’ List Drops Hint

LG seems to be busy readying two new phones. Indications regarding this have been rolling out the CTIA official page, where the organizers have spoken about the E-Tech Awards (Emerging Technology). We just got in, and see what we were exposed to.

Among the five finalists under the ‘Phones/Smartphones’ category nominated for the awards, there is mention of two “LG Mobile Phones.” Though no body has any clue as to which of the phones are these, it may be seen as devices that are currently in the works at LG labs.

Here’s the listing as has appeared on the CTIA web page:

  • Motorola ATRIX 4G, Motorola Mobility

That leaves us pondering as to what kind of smartphones is LG working on. Going by the CTIA web page, the two un-announced phones from LG have made its way into the list of finalists for the E-Tech Awards.  Speculations have in the meanwhile been triggered.

Different sources have started make different guesses regarding these upcoming phones. Most of the online suggestions say that one among the phones is definitely going to be the T-Mobile version of the LG Optimus 2X, called the “G2X”.  The other one among the five nominated devices is more likely to be Optimus 3D.

We expect LG to bring in one or two new phones to the upcoming cell phone trade show. The CTIA organizers also seem to be working on to add more secrecy and suspense to their show.

CTIA has announced the finalists in 14 categories altogether in mobile applications, mobile consumer electronics, enterprise and vertical markets and network infrastructure. Stay tuned for more updates in connection with the CTIA, which is to be held from 21-24 of this month.
