HTC Desire HD leaked Gingerbread 2.3 ROM now available: Official rollout could follow soon

There are so many Android Smartphones out in the market today that it seems there is an update that is being rolled out by different mobile makers each day. In most cases people are waiting for Gingerbread to hit their devices, In case of some unfortunate Samsung users, Froyo updates are being rolled out. Either way, some Android 2.3 news is on air every day. Today is the turn of HTC Desire HD.

The Desire HD has just got Gingerbread 2.3 courtesy of a leaked ROM and while developers are already tweaking it, you can get a piece of the action as well. This will allow you to see what Gingerbread will look like on your Desire HD. Also an early look of HTC Sense v2.1 on your Desire HD is possible.

But, we strongly suggest that majority of the users who are not inclined too technically and are not developers looking to play with this version of Gingerbread wait for the final official release. There are plenty of bugs that need to be addressed and hence for the casual smartphone user, downloading the final version would be the best option.

So care to gamble on which Android mobile is next in line for an update- leaked or official? Would make a good guessing game…
