One retailer who has had some loyal customers is Target, and it would be very soothing for those customers to know that the iOS device is arriving on Target too.

Target will be offering the Apple iPad 2 on release day itself. This piece of info has been passed on by the retailer via a tweet. We are in fact excited to see the tweet which goes thus: “The #iPad2 is coming to @Target stores! Get yours on launch day – 3/11/11.”

The tweet comes as a welcome piece of news to all those who are looking to know where all Apple will bring their second generation iOS tablet. Now those heading for Target will also be happy to know that the retainer is also promoting their electronics trade-in program, available at more than 800 of the company’s stores, which will let customers trade in first-generation iPads for store credit starting on March 13. Doesn’t that look like a bonus?

PC World has quoted Target spokesperson Kristy Walker as saying that the retailer is in fact expecting guests to be “really excited to get the latest technology. ”  The trade in program could well be a success, going by the offer.

Now if you are someone who is Target loyalist, tell us if you are already planning to avail of the trade-in program or pick an iPad 2 from their racks anew.
