Sony Ericsson Windows Phone 7 Handset Pictures Spotted in the Wild

Not many among you would have had much clue as to whether Sony Ericsson is indeed a WP7 partner. A year ago, we had heard there is a WP7 partnership coming up, but then it seemed like Sony Ericsson wasn’t very much into it. Those thoughts are going down the drain now, with a real Sony Ericsson Windows Phone 7 handset found in the wild.

Pictures of a handset that looks very much like a Sony Ericsson WP7 prototype have surfaced on a Chinese site. Though we aren’t very sure if that is a deliberate attempt to make the world take note of its plans, the pictures give us fairly a good idea of  what the company has in mind.

Its not just one, a handful of images has been spotted (posted below). And, that forces us to believe that Sony Ericsson is one manufacturer who has failed to roll out a WP7 handset but has a hardware to show off – though just as a prototype not for sale.

Going by the pictures, we tend to believe that the prototype is a charmer. With a large-screen (4.3 inches of screen real estate, we think) and a thin slider with a full QWERTY keypad, the device looks good. The sad part is that the prototype will remain a prototype and chances are that it will never hit retail.

Tell us your take on the device and Sony Ericsson’s plans.
