Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 to Roll Out as Planned

March 7, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

If you had thought the arrival of the iPad 2 from the Apple stables would prove to be a speed-breaker for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, here’s good news. iPad 2 or not – the Samsung big screen device will come as per schedule. The supposed need for some hardware sprucing up – when compared with the rich specs that the iPad 2 was to come with – had given rise to speculations that the Samsung tablet would be delayed.

However, the latest on that front gives Samsung fans something to cheer about. The hardware changes would not delay the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and that means they are in for something good coming our way very soon.

So, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will indeed arrive in the US this month itself, while European customers will get to play with the tablet in April. Considering that Korean company isn’t prepared to let time take away the charm of the device, the March launch is a certainty. The design changes which were being discussed and debated by may of us here may not be something that Samsung would want to lose time on.

Confirmation that the release is on schedule comes straight from the Samsung stables. So that leaves nothing to speculate on, right? It means that it is already time to keep your dollars and euros ready for the tablet PC with a 10-inch display and an Android platform.

As you all know, the device will come powered by the new version of Android Honeycomb. Apart from the wide screen, it will also boast of a thinner body and faster processor.  Gear up folks!

In the meantime, you may also want to take a look at the hands-on preview of the device  we had at the MWC 2011 at Barcelona recently. Tell us if you are really going or the tablet.
