Coming in May is LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game for Nintendo 3DS, a key addition to the list of titles available for the new 3D gaming platform of 2011.
LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game
Thanks to the 3D element of the Nintendo 3DS, players will be able to experience a LEGO game with a whole new depth, with vivid 3D sitting in the palms of players’ hands.
As with all LEGO movie tie-ins, LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean re-creates the action, adventure and memorable moments of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie mythology in LEGO form, incorporating the humour of LEGO minifigures and fantastic worlds built from LEGO bricks.
Over 70 characters from the movie can be played, with experience of the pirate adventures, irreverent humour and amazing creatures of the films relived through action-adventure gameplay and hilariously quirky LEGO cut scenes.  Throughout the game, players will also have the freedom to explore environments from the highly acclaimed movie series.
LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean also takes advantage of the Street Pass feature (where a Nintendo 3DS can automatically detect and communicate with other Nintendo 3DS devices) to deliver “Pirate Duel” in which players on separate devices go to battle against each other, selecting from a series of attacks and blocks to be utilized by their LEGO pirates.

Also available on Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PSP and other DS devices, LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game will be released simultaneously on all platforms with the highly anticipated new film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in May 2011.
