While titles like PES 2011 descend on Windows Phone 7, iPhone and Android, game-loving mobile owners are left to pick up the scraps – like Tournament Arena Soccer 3D 2011.

Sure, the phones for which it is headed – running under Java – are less advanced devices (and some of them are getting on a bit), but while the title offers 5 stadiums, 6 leagues, 176 teams, 2,000 players and 2 game modes its visuals just aren’t good enough to standup against the high quality gaming offered on more modern devices.

While claiming 3D visuals, what you really get with Tournament Arena Soccer 3D 2011 is isometric 3D, but with quite blocky graphics that resemble a couple of Amiga soccer titles from the early 1990s, this isn’t a game that is going make you drool.

As you can see from the clip below, while the on-screen soccer action looks as though it will be intense enough, there are likely to be moments where the visuals simply are not crisp enough to determine exactly what is happening in the goalmouth.

You can install Tournament Arena Soccer 3D 2011 on many currently available handsets, including Nokia N8, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia N97, Sony Ericsson Satio, Sony Ericsson Vivaz, Samsung Wave, Samsung Omnia, Samsung Star, Samsung Corby to name but a few.
