Well, March 2nd seems to be a good day for major manufactures to push new digital products to the gadget world. Or at least it is a day which the rumor mills are very fond of.

Following grapevine talk that Apple is going to hold a press meet on March 2nd to launch their  iPad2, there is another rumored product launch heading for the same date. It’s from Olympus and the device as per some sources, will be a new Micro Four Thirds Cam.

With some design patent documents from Olympus getting leaked to the gadget news sphere recently, the rumor claims more credibility. Possibly, one of these devices may get unveiled on March 2nd.

A tipster has reportedly predicted Olympus product launches on February 8th and March 2nd earlier. As he was right with the first date when Olympus launched the SZ-10, the VG-110 and the 3D VR-330, it is expected that March 2nd will be witnessing some real amazing stuff from Olympus.

However, nothing is known about the possible features of the newcomer. By going through the patent pictures reportedly published by Olympus Japan in later January, there are chances that the new product can be a compact, Point and Shoot cam also.

If the pictures are anything to make predictions, the new rig will have a compact design with big zoom. Let’s wait and see what happens  on March 2nd.
