Windows 7 SP1 now out and available for public download

If you have been waiting for the Windows 7 SP1, then we can confirm that it is now indeed out and available for public download. Microsoft has confirmed 7601.17514.101119-1850 is indeed the final RTM and they have already got things rolling with Windows 7 SP2. Apparently SP1 includes RemoteFX and better graphical experience for you.

Those who have tried the SP1 update in the weeks prior to public release have indicated that all is smooth with the updates and the installation process and hence you should not be facing any hassles during the Sp1 download. Do make room for the SP1 as the size of the file is being shown as 1953.3MB. So you will need both time and space on hand to get things done.

Of course, Microsoft suggests that if you are updating just a single computer, then you better not go for the cumbersome download and just turn on the automatic updates and let windows update do the job for you. So, in case you are bothered about the SP1 for just your home PC, then do not worry too much about the download.
