Lenovo Thinkpad T420 & T520 Notebooks Unveiled; Four More in the Line Up

Targeting today’s mobile business professionals, Lenovo has unveiled six new ThinkPad notebooks – T420s, T420, T520, L420, L520 and W520. All these new models come with extended battery life and stunning performance levels than the current models.

The nine-cell battery pack of the T420, according to the company, is capable of offering up to 15 hours of power-life, adding an additional nine-cell will give you double the time – up to 30 hours. The T420s, with its six-cell battery, offers 10 hours of work for the user.

Well, the T series and W series laptops unveiled by Lenovo provide 33 percent better battery performance with their efficient NVIDIA Optimist automatic graphics switching technology. These machines are the first business class laptops to tout about such efficient technology.

These machines are ultraportable with their thinner design and are lighter to carry. Featuring Intel processors like i3, i5 and i7 these new machines are also stuffed with USB 2.0 and eSATA.

To add to the connectivity, they offer optional WiMAX or HSPA integrated broadband also. The models under T420 category comes with 14” display while their T520 cousins feature 15.6” though the resolution changes from model to model.

The new chatting or conference features of these machines allow different microphone modes for private chats and conference calls by focusing on a single voice.

The new machines are expected to start shipping by March. The T420s costs $1329 while T420s costs $779. T520 comes with a price tag of $909 while L420 costs $719.
