Asus PA246Q Professional Monitor with P-IPS Panel Now Available for $500; Covers 1.07 billion Colors

With the introduction of PA246Q, Asus has added one more product to their ProArt series of professional monitors. Featuring a P-IPS panel which has got a lot of fans in the industry, PA246Q covers almost 98 percent of Adobe RGB colors – a very helpful feature for graphics professionals.

This 24-inch widescreen monitor, now available in black shade, offers 178° wide viewing angle with excellent color precision. The P-IPS panel used in PA246Q can cover up to 1.07 billion colors which makes it far ahead of conventional LCD monitors.

Unlike the conventional monitors which provide an 8-bit Look-up table, the PA246Q offers an in-built internal 12-bit Look –up Table. This helps it to give real depth to each RGB colors.

Asus has really concerned about the ergonomic factors while designing PA246Q. It allows you to choose the best viewing position from among a range of options with its swivel, tilt, pivot and height adjustments.

The customized color adjustment feature allows the user to adjust six colors-red, green, blue, cyan, magenta and yellow without affecting other colors.

Being a very fast monitor, its response time is just 6 milli-seconds, even if you are running a graphics-loaded game. Connectivity features include D-sub, DVI-D, HDMI, Display Port and USB ports.

The card reader slot with the PA246Q supports SD, MS, MS Pro, MS Duo, xD, MMC and SM cards.  The  PA246Q is now available for an on-line price of $499.99 here.
