Verizon HP Palm Pre 2 Now Available on Sale

February 18, 2011, By Leo Xavier

Earlier Verizon Wireless had announced that the Palm Pre 2 handset from HP will be launched on its network. The carrier has kept its promise and the device is now available on sale.

The Palm Pre 2 is available with a price tag of $149.99 with a two-year service contract in stores and online.

Just to remind you on the specs of the device, the Pre 2, which runs the webOS 2.0 operating system, comes equipped with a 1GHz processor, and a 3.1-inch HVGA display with a resolution of 320×480.

The device also features a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and a slide-out physical QWERTY keyboard.

Other specs include 16GB of memory, WiFi, Bluetooth, built-in GPS, accelerometer, ambient light, and a proximity sensor.

And for those of you who are suiting up to go and get the device, it would be better if you would wait for more news on the devices announced at HP’s recent “Think Beyond” event.

Just to let you know what we feel, the Pre 2 is what the original Palm Pre handset should have been, and the Pre 3 is what a webOS phone from HP should be. What do you think?
