Coming soon Nintendo 3DS during 2011 will be Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights, a new puzzle-based adventure game requiring 3D solutions!

Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights for Nintendo 3DS

Taking place in 19th century Paris and and featuring a wily and aloof archaeologist named Jean-Pierre Lautrec (who already sounds like a cross between Professor Layton and Indiana Jones’ father), Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights sees its hero searching for “living treasures” throughout Paris’ underground.

As is the way with these things, our hero stumbles upon an old map which leads to a new world of hidden treasures and jewels…

The aim of the game is to guide Lautrec through a series of puzzles and riddles, and this is where the title is likely to come into its own – taking advantage of the unique 3D display on the Nintendo 3DS, Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights requires 3D solutions to key puzzles, and provides the ability to scrutinize located objects from all directions and zoom in to highlight a piece of scenery that matches something on the map.

While Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights won’t be available for the Nintendo 3D launch in March, the game is scheduled to be released for Nintendo 3DS in Summer 2011. Keep an eye on www.konami.com/doctorlautrec for more information…
