Huawei IDEOS S7 Pro Android Tablet to be Launched this Spring

Although many of the upcoming tablets that are expected to perform well on the market have already been unveiled, new additions are also being made. The Huawei IDEOS S7 Pro is the new tablet, and it runs the Android operating system.

But unfortunately, it’s not Android 3.0 Honeycomb. The device, which should not be confused with the company’s new IDEOS S7 Slim, is a Gingerbread tablet, and is expected to launch this spring.

The device did not get an official introduction at the Mobile World Congress 2011. It was just lounging around the Huawei booth with a placard revealing the device’s specs.

Despite the LED buttons lighting up, the displayed device wouldn’t actually boot. It appeared to be just a mockup.

As for the other specs of the upcoming device, the IDEOS S7 Pro will come equipped with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, HSPA+, WiFi 802.11bgn, and two cameras.

Just to let you know, we have also heard rumors that the company is also planning to launch a new 10-inch version later in the year. That means more tablets into the already crowded tablet market.

You can check out more pictures of the device here. And stay tuned for updates.
