The three winning submissions in Spil Games’ latest monthly contest have been revealed, with the wonderfully named Biolab Disaster winning the January HTML5 mobile-coding competition.

Biolab disaster wins best mobile title award

Joining Biolab Disaster are Where’s the Red? and Wordbreak as Games.co.uk’s 3 new mobile games for iPhone, Android and other mobile platforms, with the website note offering 35 mobile titles alongside its variety of browser-based games.

Biolab Disaster is an action-adventure platform game, while second-placed Where is the Red? is – as you might guess from the title – a visual observation game. Meanwhile Wordbreak was the third-place winner, a game in which players must construct lattices of words from randomly selected letter tiles.

As you can see, there is no typical title among this selection of winners in Games.co.uk’s monthly competition that is intended to prove the potential that HTML5 programming offers across desktop and mobile platforms.

Spil Games have certainly had success in this field to date, with around 130 million unique worldwide visitors every month opting to visit and engage in their vast collection of browser-based games.
