February 14, 2011, By Shawn Wagnon

You have seen the Arc at CES 2011 and we have loved it ever since. But this is the Mobile World Congress and Sony has brought out three Android Smartphones for the event. You are well acquainted with the Xperia Play by now. We have already seen what Xperia Neo has to offer. Coming our way now all the way from Barcelona is the Xperia Pro (Drum Roll Please… Or not)

We have heard about the Neo and Play well before the event, but the Pro managed to sneak in under the radar. It no longer is going unnoticed though with its unique QWERTY keyboard that separates it from the others in Sony’s Android mini-army at MWC. Let us then get to the Xperia Pro right away and see what it brings home…

  • 3.7-inch Touchscreen
  • 854 x 480 Display Resolution
  • 8 Megapixel Camera with LED Flash
  • 2 Megapixel Front-Facing Camera
  • 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor
  • Bravia Graphics Engine Technology
  • Gingerbread (Android 2.3) Inside
  • 120 x 57 x 13.5 mm in dimension & 140 grams in Weight
  • Full QWERTY slide-out keypad
  • 8GB microSD Card Included (Expandable up to 32GB)
  • Available in silver, Red & Black

All the features indicate that the Xperia Pro is a fine option for those looking for an Android Sony Ericsson Smartphone with QWERTY slide-out keypad. The design does not make the Pro too bulky and with a well spaced out keypad, it should attract many when out in stores.

Stay tuned for more from Sony Ericsson and many others at MWC…
