MWC 2011: Sony Xperia Arc manages to stay in spotlight despite launch of Pro, Play & Neo as it gets set to go to Orange in Black

February 14, 2011, By Shawn Wagnon

Orange has managed to nab an exclusive edition of the Sony Xperia Arc for itself. The sleek and sexy curves in Black will go to “Orange-Exclusively” as they are the only ones who apparently have a chance to sell the Xperia Arc in Black. This is pretty good news if you are an European customer and love Orange and not so cool if you happen to be on some other network already and are not willing to change carriers.

That is if you wish to pocket the Xperia Arc. Along with the Arc in Black, even Xperia Play and Xperia Neo are also set to be available on Orange (no exclusivity here). There is no doubt that the Xperia Arc is a pretty sought-after Smartphone, even if its Samsung galaxy S II has already dethroned it as the slimmest one around. The curves are still pretty tempting and many might find that irresistible!

For those unaware, Xperia Arc will carry:

  • 4.2-inch TFT Touchscreen
  • 117 gm in weight and 8.7mm at is thinnest
  • Sony’s Mobile Bravia Engine
  • Gingerbread (Android 2.3) inside
  • 8.1 megapixel camera and HD video recording capability

While it will be available in ‘Midnight Blue’ and ‘Misty silver’ elsewhere, you will get the Black version only at Orange. So, like the look of Xperia Arc in Black? Are you just going to go for the Xperia Play?
