Virgin Mobile Likely to Offer 4.1-inch Android 2.2 Smartphone Soon

What do you think about Virgin Mobile USA plans? Excellent Android offerings, right? But, what about the phones on the carrier? May be that is the less attractive side of Virgin Mobile USA network  for those who want to have their phones a little high-end. Well, we feel Virgin Mobile USA is considering this matter seriously. At least that’s what we understand from the screen grab posted below.

The image shows a screen garb from a ‘Customer Pulse’ survey conducted by Virgin Mobile USA to know the customer trends. One of the questions interestingly asked by the users is their opinion regarding a new model which the carrier ‘is considering’ as one of the future phones.

However, the specs listed for this device are  indeed interesting. It has a 4.1 inch WVGA touchscreen and a 5 megapixel camera.

Running Android 2.2 OS, the device, according to Virgin Mobile USA, will have 3G and Wi-Fi capabilities and Bluetooth.

The device can play videos on a better display through the HDMI output. Above all, it sports a Snapdragon processor on the lines of HTC EVO or Nexus.

Well, it’s just a survey and we are not sure if such a device will hit Virgin Mobile USA anytime soon. If it launches at all, it will surely surpass many models available with Virgin Mobile now.

If their current plans are continued with such a phone on the network, there will be huge demand for it, no doubt.
