Samsung Galaxy S 2 Price & Release Date revealed: Mobilefun in UK takes pre-orders even before official unveiling at MWC 2011!

February 12, 2011, By Shawn Wagnon

It seems that a retailer in UK just got a bit too excited about the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S II. Either that, or someone misread the date and put up an ad that needs to be on somewhere next week. Either way, this work of over-enthusiasm has given us Release date, Price tag and specs of the Samsung Galaxy S 2 even before the official debut at MWC. Even pre-order is already available!

Mobilefun.co.uk is confident about delivering the Samsung galaxy S 2 starting March 4th and they are already taking pre-orders for that. So, if you are willing to believe them, then the Galaxy S 2 should be out in the UK by March 4 and expect a similar release date here in the US as well.

The price of the handset without contract is mentioned as £549 (which approximately converts to $880) and that should give you an idea of what the galaxy S 2 might cost back in the US. Of course, do not take the conversion literally and there will always be on-contract rebates.

As far as the specs, we got the same details as we got from the earlier leak today of the Galaxy S 2 snapshot and a few more. The Galaxy S 2 comes with 4.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen and Gingerbread (Android 2.3), 1GHz dual-core processor and comes with HSPA+, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n.

There is also a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for video chat and 1GB RAM that allows you to multitask with no delays at all. The Galaxy S 2 already looks like a great Android mobile to have and with the latest leak of release date and price, you now know what to expect.

Interested in the Galaxy S 2? We will be following it closely for sure at the MWC 2011.
