HP has unveiled its own iPad killer and its first webOS based tablet, the HP TouchPad. The new tablet, which comes with a lot of impressive specifications, features a new version of the company’s webOS software, webOS 3.0.

The tablet comes equipped with a 9.7 inch capacitive multitouch display with a resolution of 1024 x 768, and boasts a dual core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor along with 512MB of RAM.

The device also features a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front aimed at video calls, a virtual keyboard, support for Adobe Flash 10.1 and a wide range of music and video formats including DRM-free MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR, QCELP, WAV, MPEG-4, H.263, and H.264.

The company has announced two versions of the device – a WiFi only model, and a WiFi and 3G model.

The 3G model features A-GPS, and both the models get built in Beats Audio.

With the new tablet, you will be able to share the URL from the website on your Pre 3 with the TouchPad. You will just have to put the two devices together and the URL will automatically appear on the tablet.

Other specs include Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, and a 6300 mAh battery, but the company has not given out any hints regarding the performance of the battery.

The company has also announced three accessories for its tablet, the Touchstone for charging the device automatically when you place the tablet on it, a light weight case that doubles as a stand and an ultracompact wireless keyboard.
