After the launch of Verizon iPhone 4 AT&T might offer Mobile Hotspot capability on its iPhone starting February 13: This is what a little competition does?

February 3, 2011, By Shawn Wagnon

There will be many out there who will be thrilled that finally the iPhone monopoly of AT&T has been destroyed thanks to the launch of the Verizon iPhone. They will tell you that AT&T is going to lose customers by the millions and they had it coming. There will be also those out there who will tell you AT&T are just perfect already.

The truth probably lies somewhere in between. But competition has surely kicked in and now reports indicate that AT&T is willing to offer Mobile Hotspot feature starting February 13. That is a welcome piece of news for existing AT&T iPhone 4 users and this is exactly why the launch of the Verizon iPhone is great news for everyone around- whether you prefer AT&T or Verizon.

While the Verizon iPhone that is set to hit Apple and Verizon stores on February 10 and is already available on Pre-Sale offers the Mobile Hotspot feature since its launch, with reviews indicating that it is easy to set up and use, AT&T will only be introducing it now with a software update round the corner for their iPhone.

This new competition could probably be the best thing that happened to iPhone lovers in a long time. Now, if we could see better deals and data plans, please…
