Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb San Francisco Event; Watch it Live on YouTube

February 2, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Did you know the big event for Google is just round the bend? For those who are still not in the know, let’s tell you Google is all set for the Android Honeycomb event that gets underway in San Francisco. The event – yes you guessed that one right – will see the Android OS tailor-made for tablets roll out into our midst.

Set to kick off in a matter of a few hours that is 12 noon US time (6 PM UK time) on Wednesday, the event will see the Honeycomb ready to be digested. All you Google fans all over the world can set an alarm on your phones so that you wouldn’t miss the event that is to be beamed live on YouTube. Log on to watch the live coverage.

A little while ago we told you about the Motorola Xoom tablet – that will run Honeycomb – is raring to go. We would now love to know how the Apple labs are seeing the launch. The top developers there have a battle to fight, and that is certain.

Google had showed attendees at CES in the first week of January 2011 as to how the Android 3.0 Honeycomb would work on a tablet like the Xoom. An SDK released soon after had furthered our hope in the company’s engineering talent.

Though not much had been revealed as we had hoped for as yet, we expect amazing features to flow out of the new ‘tabletized’ version of Android when the wraps fly in a few hours from now.  We are heading for San Francisco.  What are you waiting for?
