T-Mobile Dell Streak 7 Tablet Confirmed; Coming on Feb 2nd for $200

February 1, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Earlier, there were rumors about the release date of the Dell Streak 7 tablet on T-Mobile and now the carrier has given out an official confirmation. The Dell Streak 7 on T-Mobile will be available from the 2nd of February 2011.

T-Mobile has priced their first HSPA+ tablet in an aggressive manner. You will be able to get your hands on the device for $200 with a two-year contract. Those who need the device off-contract should pay $450 to acquire it.

The well equipped Dell Streak 7 Tablet is based on the Google Android 2.2 Froyo OS and will extend support for Adobe Flash. We expect an OS update in the near future as the competition on the tablet market is getting tight.

The NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset is housed inside the tablet to power the operations with a processing speed of 1GHz.

The 7-inch screen is protected by the Gorilla Glass and this 4G device also features dual cameras, a rear facing 5MP camera and a 1.3MP front facing one.

It also has 16GB of internal memory and the memory can be extended up to 32GB with the help of a microSD card.

Though powered with the Froyo OS, the Dell Streak 7 Tablet is expected to have a great run on the markets with its price that makes it the cheapest Android tablet from a mainstream company.
