Assassins Creed Splinter Cell and Other UbiSoft Games May be Getting Kinect Support

February 1, 2011, By Nicholas Davis

UbiSoft is one of the leading game publishers and developers in the industry today. Games such as Assasin’s Creed, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon helped build up the reputation of this industry giant. UbiSoft claimed to be one of the leading third party developers last year when dealing with Microsoft’s Kinect releasing games such as Your Shape: Fitness Evolved, MotionSports and Fighters Uncaged. The company is now thinking about bringing the more well known titles to Kinect.

UbiSoft is already in the lead on Kinect by having a wide variety of different games including a dance game, Micheal Jackson: The Experience and a rhythm first person shooter, Child of Eden which is soon to come. Last year at E3 UbiSoft showed of Assassins Creed: Brotherhood, Battle Tag which is a real life laser-tag video game, and Ghost Recon: Future Solider so what would be the next move for UbiSoft to take while dealing with Kinect?  Ubisoft’s chief marketing and sales officer Geoffroy Sardin states,

“We will be bringing some of the industry’s most innovative offerings to Kinect soon.”

“I think we can propose Kinect versions of all the brands that we’ve got, but it is down to the production team. I can’t announce anything, but we will have something for everyone, that I can assure you.”

Only time will tell what we will see this year at E3 from UbiSoft but it definitely will not be disappointing. Read the full interview here.
