Verizon iPhone Pre-Orders to Begin at 3 a.m. on Feb 3

January 27, 2011, By Leo Xavier

Verizon has begun sending out information that it will start taking pre-orders for its Apple iPhone 4 from February 3rd 3 a.m. onwards. That’s something to get excited since the date is just a week away from now.

But the sad news is that the pre-order is just for current Verizon Wireless customers who have their My Verizon account set up. Orders can only be placed through your my Verizon account.

And you better not miss that date, since the pre-orders are limited, and once they’re gone, the carrier’s pre-existing customers will have to wait until the February 10 general sale date.

And it appears that the carrier has plans to pull in as many AT&T customers as possible. Available info suggests that some AT&T iPhone customers will be allowed to trade in their phones for credit if they make the switch to the Verizon iPhone.

According to MacRumors, the trade-in prices (appears to be higher than Verizon’s normal trade-in program) will be as follows:

iPhone (16GB – first generation): $60

iPhone 3G (16GB): $105

iPhone 3GS (32GB): $160

iPhone 4 (16GB): $280

iPhone 4 (32GB): $360

We will let you know when more info arrives. Stay tuned.
