Acer, as we all know, had been working on an entry level smartphone that would ultimately aim at businessmen-on-the-go. Christened Acer beTouch E210, the smartphone has found itself being pushed through the FCC counters a while ago. Complete with a QWERTY keyboard and fairly okay features, the Acer beTouch E210 comes about with a luring candybar design.

Though not many of the specs seem the high-end variety, Acer could be looking at sneaking into the BlackBerry phones arena with a viability factor. Though pricing details aren’t out as yet, we guess the device would be competitively priced so as to lure BlackBerry customers to their fold. By bringing forth the QWERTY keyboard that would let business users key in those important business emails and documents on-the-go, Acer is eyeing that segment for sure.

A 2.6 -inch QVGA TFT resistive touchscreen display boasting of 320 x 240 resolution, a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM, a 3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity have been included in the features list.

The device will see the light of the day on March 11th this year in the UK marketplace. It is being said that the  US customers will get the device on AT&T with support for UMTS 850 and 1900 bands. Are you the business man whom Acer is targeting with the beTouch E210?
